The chimneys have also been caped off using a mushroom shaped cap. This was done 3 years ago and I have had no problem with damp.. It would be wise to put an air vent somewhere along the line. Doing this will prevent a buildup of moisture and protect your house’s structure. Doing this is quite simple; all you will need is an air brick.
